Guide to Victoria Park

Located on the banks of the River Lea in East London, Bow River Village is our contemporary collection of one, two and three-bedroom homes.

East London has plenty to offer from green spaces, entertainment, shopping and restaurants. A particular highlight is one of London’s favourite open green spaces; Victoria Park.

Whether you want to get active in the outdoors or take a leisurely stroll around the beautiful flower gardens, the park has plenty of activities to choose from. The 213-acre boat shaped park is open all year round and features impressive lakes, playgrounds, cricket pitches and tennis courts.

Parts of Victoria Park are Grade II-listed by Historic England, giving tribute to the parks history. The Baroness Burdett Coutts Drinking Fountain opened in 1862 and remains a historic treasure. Although not the original, the park is also home to a Chinese pagoda that pays tribute to Queen Victoria’s reign.

Located in the Park, The Pavilion Café features a dome shaped glass ceiling, looks out onto the boat lake, and serves locally sourced food from baked treats to signature Sri Lankan dhal. Just outside of the park you can find family favourite pubs; Eleanor Arms, Royal Inn on the Park and The Crown being our top picks.

Finally, Victoria Park also welcomes music lovers from near and far. In the summer, the park is host to popular day festivals such as All Points East.
